When running automake & friends on a brand new project I get the
following error:
cd '/home/bettini/tmp/nuovaprova' && WANT_AUTOCONF_2_5="1"
WANT_AUTOMAKE_1_6="1" make -f Makefile.cvs
This Makefile is only for the CVS repository
This will be deleted before making the distribution

Can't locate Autom4te/General.pm in @INC (@INC contains:
/home/bettini/usr/local//share/autoconf /etc/perl
/usr/local/lib/perl/5.8.8 /usr/local/share/perl/5.8.8 /usr/lib/perl5
/usr/share/perl5 /usr/lib/perl/5.8 /usr/share/perl/5.8
/usr/local/lib/site_perl .) at

*** AUTOHEADER NOT FOUND!.
*** KDE requires autoheader 2.52 or 2.53 (part of autoconf)
make[1]: *** [cvs] Error 1
make: *** [all] Error 2
*** Exited with status: 2 ***
actually I manually installed 2.53 of autoconf since kdevelop still
complains about the version (it doesn't work with 2.60 even after
using the 3.4 branch).
What am I doing wrong? autoheader-2.53 is there, so why can't it
find it?
thanks in advance
