Unfortunately, I have to operate on single pixels. So your stuff helped a lot.

Just wondering: QPixmap has to store its data somewhere somehow as well. 
Wouldn't it feasible to manipulate that directly too? Uh well, probably not. 
The data representation in there probably depends on architecture details. So 
direct access to it would be non-portable.

Anyway, I am happy for now.
