Hi!

Does anybody know a way to force tar to read fifo (named 
pipes) and add it into the archive as normal files instead 
of adding it as 0 byte special pipe file?

For example:
$ mkfifo pipe
$ echo "File contents" > pipe &
$ magic_tar_command --file=arc.tar pipe
and when the arc.tar is extracted I want to have a file
containing "File contents"
