No need to sorry, I don't afraid to look stupid :))).

Before I posted I've read STL reference's numeric_limits section (at least 
twice ;)), but somehow missed the word 'positive'.
Actually now I'm wondering, how I could think that it could be negative.

But you're of course right :).
As I've already said to Will, next time I'll read docs more carefully.
Perhaps, "at least twice" isn't enough sometime :-).
