I have a fix for the 3.5 branch for this... I'll commit it and look at 
fixing /trunk.  Also BR #115723
The fix is simply to move the setCaption after kapp->setTopWidget( &dlg );

The --caption come from kde (ie kdialog --help-kde)
kdialog --caption "caption " --title "title " --msgbox "try this right now "
The dialog will have "title - caption".  Caption is usually the App name.
