Is there maybe a reason why this umask setting causes such behaviour? All created files are created read-only, even though the first time it's=20 opened, it's actually writable. So if it's trying to pass files to=20 another process (think temporary files), they become un-writable. It's=20 also possible that sockets are not connectable if you can't write to=20 them, which in turn would explain why ioslaves stopped working. So, no, don't report a bug. You're not supposed to run under umask 222. =2D-=20 Thiago Macieira - thiago (AT) macieira.info - thiago (AT) kde.org thiago.macieira (AT) trolltech.com Trolltech AS GPG: 0x6EF45358 | Sandakerveien 116, E067 918B B660 DBD1 105C | NO-0402 966C 33F5 F005 6EF4 5358 | Oslo, Norway --nextPart1516535.vLbJd58PCJ Content-Type: application/pgp-signature -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.4.2.2 (GNU/Linux) iD8DBQBEKPVRM/XwBW70U1gRAmcvAKDDCIyC7ZOssDjwE6u6Wo0go3yrrQCeOTKn BJDMDOJeKoMwYCZHogG7/yc= =koAz -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- --nextPart1516535.vLbJd58PCJ-- --===============0874967196== Content-Type: text/plain; charset="us-ascii" MIME-Version: 1.0 Content-Transfer-Encoding: 7bit Content-Disposition: inline >> Visit http://mail.kde.org/mailman/listinfo/kde-devel#unsub to unsubscribe << --===============0874967196==--
