Definition found on
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Exploit_%28computer_security%29

"An exploit is a common term in the computer security community to refer to
a piece of software that takes advantage of a bug, glitch or
vulnerability, leading to privilege escalation or denial of service on a
computer system."

Since the articles don't describe a "piece of software that takes advantage
of a bug, glitch or vulnerability" but the vulnerable part itself and what
can be done with it, they do *not* describe an exploit.

BTW: This whole discussion took up a lot of bandwidth on this list even
though it is OT.
