Sure. I've been using it for almost a year:
$ rpm -q gcc
gcc-3.4.3-74443cl
$ rpm -qi gcc | grep Install
Install Date: Qui 20 Jan 2005 20:40:19 BRST

I build with --enable-new-ldflags all the time. Never have I had problems 
with it.

Now, it would be interesting to know why mcopidl is exiting with error 
code 11 (that's not 128 + 11 == Segmentation fault).
