Of course there are pitfalls, which C++ feature hasn't any. That doesn't 
mean exceptions are an interchangeable feature which can be replaced 
with return codes. What's next, a library shouldn't use inheritance 
because there are pitfalls and some devs aren't comfortable with it ?
