I think I can answer this:
no, I think tthis module would be for emulators of old hardware, like home 
computers and arcade game machines, for which plenty of games exist 
already. 

I'm currently pondering about writing a program to run various interactive 
fiction games, which are typically implemented as "executables" for 
specialized virtual machines, and I wonder if it could go in the same 
module. I started by writing some kfile plugins, see the link below, but I 
am getting interested in writing a KDE frontend for the popular glk based 
interpreters.

By the way, I'd like to place these kfile plugins somewhere in the KDE SVN 
repository, but I'm not sure which module it could be:
It may be playground-games (but the module does not implement games, it only 
gathers metainformations about them), or playground-utilities, or if there 
were one, playground-addons.
