Ok, this simple example works. Now there is code in 
kdepim/libkmime/kmime_util.cpp that is used from kmail. Both libkmime.mo and 
kmail.mo are installed, kmail is in Polish and still the above code snippet 
returns only en_US. How do I fix that?
Is there any place where I can read more about how locales works in kde?
