FC3 all updates.
Kate 2.3.1 (using KDE 3.3.1-12.FC3 Red Hat)

To get kate to remember the window state i have turned on 
Setings->Configure Kate...->General->Restore window configuration.
Running Kate now results in the windo opening 3 times, first in the save
position at default size then top left default size then saved postion
configured size, ugg. What is going on here? it looks like the window is
opening before reading the config in which case its a bug and i'll 
report it to buzilla.
