Those terms have been coined a long time ago, and yes, they are from a West=
ern=20
perspective.  Similar terms exist in french (and german, too):=20

If these names of the main categories are not common in a certain locale=20
(maybe it's like that for your example Japan) I guess the=20
respective translator team will do something about it. :)

I don't think this is a case of needed political correctness or some such=20
as it's not really a touchy issue (which it was with "Macedonia").
