i actually looked it up in the CIA factbook and the UN nations information=

site and both note that Turkey is geographically in Europe from a certain=20
point west, and Asia from that same point East. both listed Turkey in the=20
"Europe" section of their listings, however.

for whatever that's worth, that seems to be the official standing.
