That's true, you can do that.

But, as a side note, unlike CVS, Subversion will give you an error if it 
finds admin/ is a symlink instead of a subdir. So, every time you do "svn 
up", it will complain about errors and return with a non-zero exit code, 
even though it will update your sources.

If you are using a script to do to the building, like kdesvn-build, it 
will fail.
