1.7MB is nothing, who cares about 1.7MB? If you mean the configure script,
in a tarball it'll be very compressed; if you mean the tarball size this is small,
and if you mean the exe size that's another thread.
The plan is another build system for KDE4. Meanwhile, I suggest dropping
that fight and concentrating on the C++ code.
