i don't particularly think bounties are a good idea, but if you look around
you'll notice that some of the core developers are paid to work on KDE, and
that paid for time has helped a lot. then there's the issue of how things
like aKademy get funded; those events can easily be 6 figure investments.
money is not inherently evil. in fact, it can allow tallented people to spend
more time on KDE.
then again, not all money is worth it either.
