 Well, if you use an RPM based distro, go to ftp.redhat.com.Version 6.1 had 
kde 1.1.1. Just download the source rpms redhat 9 has 3.1. 
download.fedora.redhat.com has 3.1.4, 3.2.2, 3.3.0, and some others in the 
SRPMS directories ( the subfolders are 'fedora' and 'core' instead of redhat) 
I don't know what to do if your distro is debian-based.
