Hi, 

Me too I'm working on desktop search system from some times...

Please anyone interested on the subject to check my code at:
http://merlimat.net/wp-content/Pds-0.1.tar.gz

The basic system is already working and can be used for test, although
the interface is a little bit rough. Also in this version only plain
text and html/xml files are indexed (plugins for other mime-types must
be updated/created).

Please share any comment/objection
