The change that introduced instance was done by Coolo on Thursday. 
Can you double check that you have updated 
kdelibs/kdecore/kconfig_compiler/kconfig_compiler.cpp 
compiled, and installed the new kconfig_compiler?

If that doesn't fix it, I'm not sure. However it is working for me.
