just looking at kicker and kmail as the two obvious examples, both configure 
one of these "complex types" at a time. kmail does this with filters, 
incoming/outgoing email and identities. perhaps it would be good enough to be 
able to just deal with any one of these dynamic config groups at a time..

the common "show the entries in a list, allow them to be editted one at a time 
by selecting one from the list first" should make this doable.

what other use cases are there? (i'm sure there must be some)
