well, it's a bit more than a small patch... it adds a couple features and 
modifies some others... it'll require quite a bit of testing and code 
review... as i'm not intimately familiar with ksystracmd's codebase this will 
not be a quicky for me.

i'll get around to it eventually if nobody else does.
