You probably know xmms is by default shown without windeco but managed by the 
windowmanager.
afaik this is a gtk specific extension to netwm supported by kwin.
now i'd like to know if kwin (or anything else) provides a function to set a 
window to this state (that is different from override) like gdk does or if i 
have to go the hard way, cloning the settings gdk makes
(no, i'm not writing an additional mediaplayer ;)
