kedit is part of the kdeutils package but a lot of the editor functionality 
comes from keditcl.h, keditcl1.cpp and keditcl2.cpp in kdeui in the kdelibs 
package.

Source for kdelibs and kdeutils are available from 
ftp://ftp.kde.org/pub/kde/stable/3.2.3/src
