I'm speaking from the program located at kdeadmin/lilo-config

From valgrind just opening kcontrol going to the module and closing it

LEAK SUMMARY:
definitely lost: 45401 bytes in 1872 blocks.

I've looked at it but it uses a custom string class that inherits from
std::string and most of the leakage is done inside that class. I think it
would be more useful if we ditched completely the usage of std::string and
used QString.

If i have your ok i'll work on it for KDE 4.0.

Anyone knows if there's an active mantainer for that program? (/me ears lots
of laughs....)

The readme of the program says

<quote>
Parts of the code (basically all the code that does the real work) are
designed to be UI independent (if I ever have the time, there will be a
textmode frontend), which is why I'm using "String"s rather than "QString"s
throughout the code. Please don't change this.
