Well, now I'm confused too. :-(

When in doubt, add kdDebug() statements EVERYWHERE, in order to trace the flow 
of execution through your program, and to reveal what data your program is 
reading in, setting, etc.

If you run Konqueror from a Konsole you should be able to set the debugging 
output from your plugin.
