For FreeBSD specific things, there's kde@freebsd.org. It looks like the
source code you posted is part of tweakBSD, which I recently spotted on
kde-look as well. Unless you've changed the license since friday, noone is
allowed to change your source code, so posting it asking for hints is ..
inconsistent, since obviously noone can do anything with the code to try
to figure out what's wrong.

Perhaps you should add a bunch of kdDebug() calls to the code to figure
out when it is being called and how (don't forget to compile with
--enable-debug, then).
