Hi,

last week I submitted a patch to bugzilla to implement a basic
offline-functionality to KMail. That means there is a toggle button in the
toolbar to set KMail to offline/onlie mode.
In offline mode, KMail will skip checking pop and imap accounts, only "local"
and "maildir" is checked.
Carsten Burghardt added a comment that there is some more to keep in
mind. He made a list with some points, but some are ambiguous to me.

Does anybody have some experience with mailclients that support offline mode?
What's the exact behaviour to the points Carsten mentioned?

I think a discussion in a bigger circle is more helpful to implement this
feature properly.
