Hello, Everyone :)
I just discovered this really nasty looking problem with transparent
menu's in KDE CVS HEAD.
The first screen shot is of Konqueror, maximized (size really makes no
difference), with no menus dropped down. I include this screenshot to
show that unless there is a drop down menu with transparency enabled,
KDE looks quite wonderful :)

This next screenshot is of the same instance of Konqueror that produced
the lovely image contained in the screenshot referred to above, the only
difference being I clicked View | View Mode. See the nasty difference
compared to the first screenshot.

Below is a third screenshot, Control Center | Style" Please notice the
green and white checked background in the section of the controlcenter
module that has to do with setting the menu opacity for Translucent
menu's. I can't prove it, but I don't ever remember it being that
color.

I can't think of any other details to mention, except that I updated KDE
from CVS HEAD yesterday, and when I came home from work, this is what I
found.

My operating system is Fedora Core 2, full installation (not an
upgrade). All official Updates installed, including latest FC2 kernel.
My QT is from TrollTech's latest stable tarball. My KDE is from CVS
HEAD, updated yesterday. I have QT and KDE installed in different
locations than the FC2 defaults, so I did not overwrite my old QT and
KDE to install what I'm running now.

In closing, everything was fine until I updated from the CVS yesterday.

If I can be of any help on this, let me know. If you could tell me what
module would be involved in menu transparency, I'd be glad to update
again and see what happens. Just remembered: I tried creating a brand
new user account, just to see if there was something wrong with mine.
Same problem.

One more point of clarification: the o

Anyway, Have a Great Day :)
