The Font Cache interface in Freetype2 is in beta and thus constantly changing. 
I've successfully gotten KDE to compile with libfreetype 2.0.9, but I think 
2.1.x breaks things. Any parts of KDE that use the font cache interface in 
libfreetype need to be updated (though they're chasing a moving target).
