I am not a layer, this is not legal advice, you really should hire a laywer
yourself to get legal advice that is applicable to your situation. Once you
do, you may wish to discuss with your laywer the following points:

* You can assign the copyrights to the customer. Depending on the work
relation that you have this may happen automatically already ("Work for
Hire"). Under US-law, copyights need to be assigned in writing (on paper with
a signature from you). Your laywer can tell you what is
appropriate/valid/advisable in your particular circumstances.

* You can add "Author: xxxx" in addition to the copyright statement / about
text. As the new copyright holder, the customer may have the right to remove
such credit line, this depends on the applicable copyright law (e.g. the
exact laws in your country) Some copyright laws have the notion of "moral
rights" which remain with the author (that's you) and which can't be
transfered away from the author. You can also enter in an agreement with the
customer in which the customer promises not to remove your credits. Your
laywer can tell you what is appropriate/valid/advisable in your particular
circumstances.

I also suggest you read http://www.ivanhoffman.com/nightmare.html, it was
written specially for you ;-)

Cheers,
Waldo
