I have tried to run noatun from kde 3.2.2 (Debian) and later from KDE CVS and 
here's the error in two cases:

koke{~}$ noatun
noatun: WARNING: Couldn't instanciate artsobject Noatun::Session. (This is 
normally caused by a broken package or compiling kdemultimedia in a --prefix 
different from arts.  It may also be from two conflicting packages, so 
uninstall every arts/artsd package you have installed and try again.
noatun: ERROR: Communication problem with noatun, it probably crashed.
koke{~}$ KCrash: crashing... crashRecursionCounter = 2
KCrash: Application Name = noatun path = <unknown> pid = 1322

Hmm, I just tried to kill arts and noticed it was running as root. I killed it 
anyway and noatun started well, so... is this a bug or not?
