I just met on IRC a guy that claimed the same error than you and we solved it.

It seems that your qt does not recognize the kde plugins.

Please run as your user
qtconfig
in a konsole and see in the Library Paths tab if you have the path to the kde 
plugins. Probably not, so you will have to add them:

$KDEDIR/lib/kde3/plugins
~/.kde/lib/kde3/plugins

where you must indicate the full path instead of $KDEDIR and ~

It should fix the problem.
