Thanks...I tried in the morning yesterday, and then again in the afternoon, 
but I will try it again now.

I did this...I'm actually building using a gentoo ebuild which does a full 
checkout, copies it to a work directory, and does makefile -f Makefile.cvs, 
configure, make, and make install (yes, it takes a while...but it seldom 
fails.  That's why I posted this question here. :) ).

Thanks - this is what I was actually looking for.  I had run into this problem 
before, and this is how I fixed it....that's all my original question was - 
what was the command to fix it by hand...

I'm sorry that I did.  I thought that since it was a full rebuild (including 
Makefile.cvs and configure) that it might have been an issue for devel.  I 
will post compiling issues to users in the future.  Thanks for letting me 
know I was in error.
