OK - so here is another question...(Thanks for being patient with me - I'm 
still learning...)

What's the difference between these two statements, and which is preferable?

SystemTray *sysTray = new SystemTray;
KWin::setSystemTrayWindowFor(sysTray->winId(),0);

and

SystemTray sysTray;
KWin::setSystemTrayWindowFor(sysTray.winId(),0);
