I am having problems with KWin::setSystemTrayWindowFor(). Basically, it comes
down to not understanding how windows are identified.
- From the documentation, I see that you need to pass it a WId for the from, and
the to, windows to tie them together. However, I don't know how to get a
WId...I don't even know what a WId is (is there any documentation?) I assume
it's a Window identifier, or something.
I have tried the following, and I get the following error (SystemTray inherits
from KSystemTray):
SystemTray sysTray;
KWin::setSystemTrayWindowFor(sysTray,0);
gives the error:
main.cpp:80: error: no matching function for call to `KWin::
setSystemTrayWindowFor(SystemTray&, int)'
/usr/kde/cvs/include/kwin.h:153: error: candidates are: static void
KWin::setSystemTrayWindowFor(long unsigned int, long unsigned int)
any ideas?
- -Nathan
