Hi!
  It's very interesting, I also have this problem, but I've found that this
test comes from kdeprint/configure.in.in, which seems to be untouched from
Dec 19 2003, and it definitely worked until the beginning of March. Even
cvs log doesn't show any updates in KDE_3_2_BRANCH. I didn't make any change
to the building system (auto *) in the last months, so I'm totally confused
what happened :-).
  I solved it temporarily by hacking configure and removing the offending test
(and returning that I have no new CUPS).
