Great work on the repainting stuff - it's fine now. But when you changed the 
opacity, you missed changing the red green and blue multiples :) so now we 
have colours * 0x70 and alpha 0x4000.

With that fixed, my only complaint is that it's still too slow (but enabling 
RenderAccel has made no difference, so it's likely I'm still seeing an 
unaccelerated blending).
