It has a configuration file in .kde/share/config which is, right now, called kmix_panelapplet_18lzlelwsnezygg0qmp_rc (and I am sure there is a good reason for that name) The kmix_applet is very small, does not take any room on the screen, allows you to quickly change the volume whitout displaying a big ugly window in the middle and does not occupy a slot in the taskbar. But if the job of KMilo is to catch keystrokes and react to them, then I think that before taking any action, it should check that the key stroke has not been explicitely defined as a shortcut for another application.
