Regression bugs are a sign of health in any application :) It means people are
confident that they can improve the basic / existing code, improving as they
can.

I develop software for a living; and despite extensive testing and other QA
activities, regression bugs are found in the production environment.

Does 2.6.0 have regression bugs? If yes, does that hurt linux reputation?
Users who do not want regression bugs should track the stable distribution,
e.g. Debian/STABLE, not download the newest release of every single
application: synergistic (modulo spelling) effects do occur, preventing
bugfree releases of any single application (suite) in any case.

What you're proposing is the cathedral. It will not work as well as the
bazaar.

Release often. Release early. There's wisdom there :)

Instead of talking, how about coding/doing QA etc? Nothing prevents anyone
from doing so :o)
