well... "is cheaper for closed source development"... it isn't any cheaper 
CoA-wise than KDE, in fact it's becoming more expensive. Sun charges 
per-seat, Ximian wants to do the same for the Evo connector and their Red 
Carpet devices, and Red Hat charges per-system.

thank the propaganda of a few self-interested GNOME people for this. the only 
part of the above paragraph that is true is that KDE decided not to use 
corba... yes, this means we need to do a better job of representing ourselves 
in the public eye.

wrong. KDE libs are LGPL, Qt is GPL/QPLv2. what "forces" devels to use only Qt 
is the desire to compile and run on Windows.
