I never wrote anything using QPrinter, but I guess the APIs are still 
identical (at least they used to be, I believe).

As for your specific question, I don't know what's wrong. Using the KDE 
Printing System, things "just work".

Have you called setPrintProgram()?

Take a look at the QPrinter documentation, it seems to be good.
