Antialiasing is not available for Qt with the XFree86 libraries supplied \
with Fedore Core 1. The problem, which makes KDE look like crap, can be \
seen here: https://bugzilla.redhat.com/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=109351
An updated XFree86-libs rpm can be found (only until official fixes are \
available) at http://www.eleceng.ohio-state.edu/~ravi/XFree86-libs-4.3.0-42.i386.rpm \
for those who wish to upgrade. Here's how you do it:

 1. Download the RPM above.
 2. Become root (e.g., by using "su").
 3. Execute "rpm -e --nodeps XFree86-libs"
 4. Execute "rpm -Uvh XFree86-libs-4.3.0-42.i386.rpm"
 5. Restart the X server, either by using "init 3; init 5" or otherwise.

For the paranoid: yeah, my RPM is unsigned, and I don't take any \
responsibility for it causing your daughter to date members of the your \
state legislature; I ran into this problem, fixed it, and am making my \
solution available to the world; if you don't want it, don't use it.
