Yea, that much is true.

Which g++ version was used to compile that Qt? Which one are you using now?

g++ 3.1/3.2/3.3 is incompatible with g++ 3.0, which is in turn incompatible 
with g++ 2.96 which is in turn incompatible with g++ 2.95
