Brad,

I ran into something similar to this recently. If you run:

> configure:27150: /home/bradh/coding/cvs-vers/kde-head/qt-copy//bin/uic -L
> /usr/local/kde/lib/kde3/plugins/designer -nounload -impl actest.h a
> ctest.ui > actest.cpp

by hand, then you may that there is a missing #include (sorry, I forget the 
file, but if you look for recent postings by me on kde-core-devel, you might 
find it).

The answer in my case was that I had messed up some builds, and my $KDEDIR/lib 
contained some stale results. Cleaning this lot up fixed it for me.
