Hello,

Checked out artsd HEAD tonight, due to the fact that kdeinit (or whatever 
launches it) required option -c, which was not present in 1_1_BRANCH

Now, artsd consumes 100% of cpu time, and even though system configuration 
says Sound system must be disabled, whenever an application tries to produce 
sound, artsd is launched.

Besides, I'm using latest ALSA in combination with my Creative SB Extigy, from 
time to time sound becomes distorted, and system hangs, totally.

The only thing that helped for now is mv /opt/kde3/bin/artsd /opt/kde3/bin/
artsd.broken

Without this artsd, KDE refuese to start, trying ciclically to start artsd 
with -c parameter.

Anyone else has the same? Or what am I doing wrong?
