Hi Felix,

I had a similar problem at first.  It turned out that it was because I hadn't 
set my PATH properly, so it was trying to load KDE-3.2 versions of programs 
from a KDE-3.1 version of kdeinit (or maybe the other way round, I can't 
remember).  Check that KDEDIR, QTDIR and PATH are all set correctly so that 
you are not mixing the old with the new.
