I fixed a few other things and checked the patch manually for errors -- yes 
I found some.

So, I have posted the final version -- I don't intend to work on it any 
further.

If you wish to NOT embed fonts, please try it and see if it works OK.

Note that I changed some of the fonts but did NOT change the font metric: 
"xscale".  This may cause problems.

Note: you can't see some of the changes unless you actually read the 
PostScript file.

The Courier New problem was NOT fixed,  I will write another bug report on 
that.
