What if something like this could be used for allowing users to tack
comments to files?  It wouldn't force this style of storage on the
user, but rather be used in addition to the way it works now.  This
way a person can search in the traditional manner (by file name),
search on comments, or search on any text associated with a file (file
name, comments, text within a text file, etc.)
