I did a gdb backtrace after kbuildsyscoca runs. It seems to be the
KDELegacyDirs function that crashes.

I'm running KDE 3.1.3 and KDE-CVS as different users. My kdetest user has
no access to KDE 3.1.3. Could it be that KDE Legacy Dirs is something both
installations have access to, e.g. /tmp, and KDE stable has put something
in there that KDE-CVS dislikes?

Since my original post I did another CVS update, so this trace is from the
codebase as of yesterday evening.
